October 19, 2021 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Atlanta United FC News Release
ATLANTA - Atlanta United today announced a pair of changes to its upcoming broadcasts on Wednesday, Oct. 20 vs. NYCFC (7:30 p.m., Bally Sports South, 92-9 The Game, La Mejor). Mike Conti (play-by-play) will make his Atlanta United television debut, filling in for Kevin Egan and will be joined by Maurice Edu (analyst) and Jillian Sakovits (sideline/host). Coverage from Mercedes-Benz Stadium is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. with Atlanta United Live!
For the radio broadcast on 92-9 The Game, Jason Longshore will take over play-by-play duties in Conti's absence and will be joined in the booth by Jeff Larentowicz (analyst), who will make his Atlanta United radio debut. Coverage will also begin at 7:00 p.m.
Conti has served as the club's radio play-by-play announcer since the start of the 2018 season. He is currently the Managing Editor of 92-9 The Game and contributes daily to the station's midday and afternoon shows. Additionally, he hosts the pregame, halftime and postgame shows on the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network.
Larentowicz, a 16-year MLS veteran who retired from professional soccer on April 5, made his broadcast debut earlier this season on May 23 for ATL UTD 2 during a 2-2 draw against Memphis 901. He's called three additional ATL UTD 2 matches on ESPN+ this season, in addition to making his Bally Sports debut as guest analyst for Atlanta United's First Team match on June 27 against New York Red Bulls.
