
Columbus Crew Academy Celebrates Academy Signing Night at OhioHealth Performance Center

COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew Academy recently hosted Academy Signing Night at the OhioHealth Performance Center. The event hosted players and their families to celebrate the achievement of making a Columbus Crew Academy team for the 2021-2022 season. Academy Signing Night included congratulatory speeches, signing of commitment letters and touring the OhioHealth Performance Center.
In all, a total of 90 players were signed: 27 with the Under-19 team; 26 with the U-17 team; 19 with the U-15 team; and 18 with the U-14 team. A full list of the 2021 Crew Academy signings can be viewed via this link.
Crew Academy players train at the OhioHealth Performance Center, a dynamic first-in-class MLS training facility for all Crew soccer operations, including First Team and Academy. In addition to providing a world-class player development system to the Club's Academy players, the OhioHealth Performance Center allows academy players to be integrated into First Team training sessions. As part of the tour, parents and players were shown different sections of the OhioHealth Performance Center while Crew Academy Staff members answered questions about each of the locations.
