
Atlanta Dream Trade for Guard Crystal Dangerfield

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Dream have acquired 2020 WNBA Rookie of the Year Crystal Dangerfield via trade with the Dallas Wings in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft the organization announced today.
"We are excited to add an experienced player like Crystal to our roster," said General Manager and Executive Vice President Dan Padover. "She brings WNBA experience to our team and gives us depth at the guard position as we gear up for the regular season."
The four-year WNBA veteran has played for the Dallas Wings, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx. She averaged 8.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game last season with the Wings where she made a career-high 35 appearances.
The University of Connecticut product was drafted by the Minnesota Lynx with the No. 16 pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft. Dangerfield earned WNBA All-Rookie Team Honors and was a two-time Rookie of the Month during the 2020 season, averaging 16.2 points and 3.6 assists per game while contributing 30 minutes per game. During her collegiate career, Dangerfield was a two-time AAC First-Team Selection and three-time AAC All-Tournament Team designee.
