
Atlanta Dream Sign Alaina Coates

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Atlanta Dream have signed forward Alaina Coates to a training camp contract, the team announced today.
The 6-4 South Carolina native has averaged 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in four seasons in the WNBA. Coates played for Atlanta in the second half of the 2019 season, where she averaged 2.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in nine games.
With Galatasaray in Turkey this season, Coates averaged 11.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 10 KBSL and Eurocup games.
Coates was drafted second overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2017 WNBA Draft out of South Carolina, where she was a four-time All-SEC player and helped the Gamecocks on their run to the National Championship in 2017.
