
Atlanta Braves Tryout Camp Rescheduled for June 24

PEARL, MS -- The annual Atlanta Braves Tryout Camp has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 24 at Trustmark Park due to wet grounds and tomorrow's projected forecast. Registration starts at 9:00 AM. Tryouts start at 10:00 AM. The annual event is free of charge and under the direction of Area Scout Supervisor Don Thomas.
All players must be between the ages of 16 and 22 to participate and are expected to furnish their own cleats, gloves and uniforms. The Braves will provide any other necessary equipment. American Legion players must have written permission from their coach.
The Mississippi Braves is the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. Since making the move from Greenville, SC, in 2005, over 85 M-Braves have gone on to play in the big leagues. The M-Braves have made postseason play three times and went on to win the Southern League Championship in 2008. Tickets are on sale now.
