JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Atlanta Braves have made the following roster move affecting the M-Braves roster before tonight's series opener at Jacksonville. RHP Ian Anderson has been promoted to Mississippi from High-A Florida.

Anderson, 20, was 2-6 with a 2.52 ERA (28 ER/100.0 IP), 40 walks and 118 strikeouts over 20 starts for the Fire Frogs this season. Anderson posted a 1.13 WHIP and .198 opponents batting average. Over his final six starts for Florida, Anderson posted a 0.77 ERA with 16 hits, nine walks, and 42 strikeouts in 35.0 innings. He has allowed just two home runs in 100 innings. The Rexford, NY native had a 1.71 ERA with 66 strikeouts in 58 innings since June 1 and only three of his 41 hits allowed during that time went for extra bases. The 20-year-old's final Florida start was a 5.1 inning performance on Tuesday night vs. Palm Beach, giving up just one run on three hits with four walks and five strikeouts. Anderson is slated to make his M-Braves debut on Sunday in Jacksonville.

Anderson was selected by the Braves with the third overall pick in the 2016 draft out of Shenendehowa (NY) HS, Atlanta's highest draft selection since 1991 when it took Mike Kelly second overall. Anderson is rated by MLB Pipeline as Atlanta's No. 3 overall prospect and No. 39 in all of Major League Baseball. Anderson's addition gives the M-Braves seven of Atlanta's Top 30 prospects.

The Mississippi Braves roster currently stands at 25 active players and four on the disabled list.
