The Silverbacks face a must-win game against NASL leaders Minnesota United FC on Saturday in order to remain in contention for a shot at The Championship, the league's four-team postseason. (8 PM ET, live on ESPN 3; Watch Party - The Elder Tree Pub).
The Silverbacks are coming off a 2-0 midweek loss at Ottawa, while United FC is riding a three-game winning streak, having defeated Ottawa last Saturday.
"This has been a difficult road trip due to a limited roster but we are making a few adjustments with the available players to bounce back," said Atlanta coach Jason Smith. "Minnesota is obviously a very organized side and we need to be sharp in order to get a result. Hopefully the addition of Deon (McCaulay) will be a much needed spark up front."
Amid a 5-game losing streak, Atlanta is facing a United side that is on an 11-game unbeaten streak at home. However Atlanta has won three out of six games in Minnesota overall, including the two most recent matches "" both in 2013.
