Asheville Tourists News Release
ASHEVILLE - Spring has sprung in Asheville. The baseball season begins Saturday when Tourists fans have their first opportunity to buy single-game tickets for 2008 Tourists home games.
Tickets will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. This will be the first chance for the general public to buy seats for individual games, including the much anticipated Opening Day on April 3 and Fireworks Extravaganzas, which will be July 4 and 5. Season tickets, mini-plans and premium-seating options will also be available on Saturday.
From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., free lunch will be provided. The menu will consist of hot dogs and sodas.
Fans can play inflatable games and the speed pitch, which will be set up along the stadium concourse and on the field during the event. Discounts will be offered on select merchandise from the ballpark's merchandise store.
Every fan will leave McCormick Field with a special giveaway or prize. One lucky fan will win a trip for two to see the 1st two rounds of the Men's NCAA Basketball Championship at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. No fan will walk away empty-handed.
With the cost of living going up every day, the Tourists are committed to keeping ticket prices at McCormick Field the same as last year. This makes Tourists baseball the most affordable and popular family entertainment option in the Asheville region.
For more information about season tickets, mini-plans and all premium seating at McCormick Field, contact the Tourists front office at (828) 258-0428.
