
Asbury Park Press to Host "Dollar Night" with the BlueClaws

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws recently announced that all children will eat for free at every 2009 home game. Now, the Asbury Park Press has come up with a great value opportunity for the adults in the area.
The Asbury Park Press said Tuesday they will host "Dollar Night" on April 10th at FirstEnergy Park, where all reserve seats and general admission passes to the 7:05 game will be just $1. There will also be post-game fireworks, as there are every Friday, thanks to Toyota World of Lakewood.
"The Asbury Park Press came to us with this idea, and we thought it was wonderful," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "It's going to be a tremendous night for our fans thanks to the great folks at the Press."
"We're really trying to help everyone in the area," said Tom Donovan, President and Publisher of the Asbury Park Press. "It's going to be an exciting, relaxing, and affordable night out for all the fans."
The combination of $1 tickets and kids eating for free means that a family of four, with two children, can come out to the game and feed the kids for just $4.
Fans can go to APP.com to download a special coupon featuring all the details about the event, the first-of-its-kind in Lakewood.
All BlueClaws 2009 individual game tickets go on sale Saturday March 7th, at the team's FanFest, which runs from 12 pm - 5 pm. The event includes $1 off all individual game tickets, except "Dollar Night," the chance to win Phillies luxury suite tickets, the opportunity to win a spot in a 2009 BlueClaws on-field promotion, "You Make the Call" in the press box, and much more.
"Dollar Night" tickets apply only to individual game sales.
The Lakewood BlueClaws welcomed 425,166 fans to FirstEnergy Park during the 2008 season which upped their eight-season total to 3,595,378. They have led the South Atlantic League in average or overall attendance in each of their eight seasons.
The team recently announced that all children ages 12 and under, will eat for free at every 2009 home games.
