Arsenal Honor Franklin Elementary

October 17, 2008 - NBA G League (G League) - Anaheim Arsenal News Release

Anaheim, CA - Arsenal Team President, Cliff Dochterman, was one of several Anaheim community leaders who spoke to the students of Benjamin Franklin Elementary and congratulated them on their academic achievement from their STAR (Standardized Testing and Results) test results.

This past spring, the students of Franklin Elementary earned an all time school high API (Academic Performance Index) score of 779 out of 800 as a result of their STAR tests. Their goal was to grow by five points from the previous year, but exceeded that target by growing 31 points. Franklin students exceeded goals in Language Arts and Mathematics by more than 13% in each subject.

Dochterman congratulated the students on a great job and encouraged them to keep on achieving. Franklin students, staff, family and friends were all offered exclusive discounted tickets to the first two games of the Anaheim Arsenal 2008 - 2009 season on December 3 and December 5 for the school's achievements.

"Mr. Dochterman was extremely motivational. He pumped up the kids and parents and was very positive. We are extremely appreciative of the Arsenal making a presence today," said Franklin Elementary School Office Assistant, Marie J. Martinez.
