Arnold Returning for One More Season

(North Little Rock, AR) â Clay Arnold has been assigned to the Arkansas Twisters and will return for his sixth season in arenafootball2. The 2004 Team Lineman of the Year is among the franchise leaders in sacks and anchors the quarterback protection from the center position.
"It's good to have Clay Arnold back on the team," says Twisters Head Coach Gary Anderson. "He is one of the hardest working players the Twisters have ever had. I think he is the best center in af2. Clay is one of our captains. He has also been great in the community."
Arnold's contribution to the Twisters goes beyond the fifty yard field during the summer. Arnold is always giving back to the community by reading to school children or visiting kids in need at local hospitals.
Arnold is known for leading by example and his all-out play on the field is noticed and appreciated by the Twisters and its fans.
"It's great to have Clay back on the Twisters roster. Clay has done so much for the Arkansas Twisters on and off the field," states General Manager Andy Haskell. "He is a leader for this team, not only in words, but in action. You can't say enough good things about Clay."
Arnold finished the 2004 season among team leaders in tackles for loss (6) and sacks (4.5). He enters the 2005 season with 15 career sacks which is fifth best in team history.
Arnold also said 2005 will be his last season as a player, and he will pursue opportunities in coaching following season's end.
