
Armor Pick Up Chris Lowe

SPRINGFIELD, MA Dec. 11, 2009 - The Springfield Armor today announced that UMass grad, Chris Lowe will be joining the roster. This will be the 4th roster changed the Armor has announced this week.
During his 4 years at UMass Lowe scored 1,152 points, had 678 assists, 132 steals and 16 blocks. Lowe was 2008-09 HONORABLE MENTION ALL ATLANTIC 10, Preseason Atlantic 10 First Team Guard and Preseason All-Defensive Team while at UMass.
"Chris brings us a true point guard that can distribute the basketball and also can be a tempo changer on the defensive end of the court" said Head Coach Dee Brown, "We are excited to have the local UMASS product in Springfield."
Lowe will make his debut for the Armor tomorrow when Springfield takes on Tulsa in the second game of this week's series. Joining him on the court for the first time will also be Morris Almond and TJ Cummings who officially joined the Armor's roster yesterday.
To make room for Lowe on the roster, Springfield waived former UConn guard, Craig Austrie.
The Armor and 66ers face off tomorrow at the MassMutual Center at noon. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting www.armorhoops.com or the MassMutual Center Box Office.
