Tulsa, Okla., December 11, 2009 - As a part of a league-wide "Season of Giving" initiative, the Tulsa 66ers announced a partnership with the Eastern Oklahoma Food Bank for the Dec. 18 game and a partnership with The News on 6 and the Giles' Coats for Kids program for the Dec. 19 game. Both games are against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

"Giving back is a huge part of our organization, for the Thunder and for the 66ers," 66ers President Jim Brylewski said. "We hope that our fans and the community support us by giving back to families in need during the holiday season."

Part of a Friday double-header that features high school boys varsity action between Booker T. Washington and East Central, prior to the 66ers game, fans are asked to bring two non-perishable food items donated at the door on the 18th. The 66ers will give each fan that donates a buy one, get one ticket voucher for their Jan. 2 home game.

For every gently-used coat donated at the door on the 19th, the 66ers will give each fan a buy one, get one ticket voucher for their Jan. 3 home game and a voucher good for 20 percent off 66ers merchandise.
