SPRINGFIELD, MA Dec. 17, 2009 - The Springfield Armor today announced that they have acquired their first pick in the expansion draft, Marcus Campbell.

In addition to his brief time playing in Italy, Campbell, a former Mississippi State Center, has played on various NBA D-League teams including the former Arkansas Rimrockers, the Austin Torros, the Idaho Stampede, and most recently, the former Anaheim Arsenal.

Campbell, 27, played in 38 games with the Arsenal during the 2008-09 season, averaging 11.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. In four seasons in the NBA D-League, Campbell has accumulated 1,487 points, and his 1,017 rebounds and 171 blocks rank fifth and sixth, respectively, in league history.

To make room for Campbell on the roster, Springfield waived former Auburn guard, and Bernardston Mass Native, Adam Harrington.
