
Arizona United SC Signs Scottsdale-Native Blair Gavin

PHOENIX - Today, Arizona United Soccer Club announced it signed midfielder, and Scottsdale-native, Blair Gavin. The former Sereno Soccer Club player spent 2015 with United Soccer League side Portland Timbers 2. He scored four goals and collected three assists in 24 appearances.
The Phoenix Horizon grad makes his homecoming years after playing his youth soccer in Scottsdale, Arizona, with the Sereno Soccer Club. While there his team was ranked No. 1 nationally and won four consecutive Arizona state cup titles. In college, Gavin played for collegiate powerhouse University of Akron and scored the game-winning goal off a penalty kick to send the Zips to the 2009 National Championship game.
Over five years as a professional, Gavin has been with MLS sides Chivas USA, New England Revolution, and Seattle Sounders. He also spent a year with NASL side Atlanta Silverbacks before landing with T2 last season.
