
Arizona United SC Road Trip Continues with Stop in Tulsa

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (August 1, 2015) - Arizona United SC's two-match, three day road trip comes to an end Sunday, August 2, when the club kicks off against Tulsa Roughnecks FC at 5:30 p.m. Fans can watch the stream of the match on ArizonaUnited.com
This will be the second and final meeting between the two clubs this season. In their first meeting, United and the Roughnecks battled to a 1-1 draw at Scottsdale Stadium.
In that match, midfielder Jonathan Top scored the first goal, collecting a rebound and sliding it past the diving Tulsa goalkeeper in the 19th minute. Arizona had plenty of additional chances throughout the rest of the match, but couldn't find the back of the net. The Roughnecks's Gibson Bardsley equalized the match in the 90th minute.
Both clubs come into the match following Friday night losses. United (7-11-1) was shut out by Oklahoma Energy FC, 3-0. Tulsa (7-9-4) fell to Vancouver Whitecaps 2, 3-1.
Arizona will have one more road match, Sunday, August 9, against LA Galaxy II before coming back home on Saturday, August 15 to play Orange County Blues FC.
Notes: Danny Garcia and Otis Earle have rejoined the club on loan from FC Dallas. Both began the Friday night's match on the bench. Garcia came into the game as a 69th-minute sub. Earle did not play. ... Both of Arizona's most recent signings, defender Romeo Filipovic and midfielder Jon Okafor, started for United on Friday night. ... Heading into Sunday's match, Long Tan is the club's leading scorer with right goals. Jonathan Top is second on the team with three goals.
