
Arizona United SC Gets One More Shot to Cool Red-Hot Monarchs

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (September 11, 2015) - Arizona United SC (10-14-1) goes on the road to face Real Monarchs SLC (6-13-8) on Saturday, September 12. Kick off is set for 3:00 p.m. from Rio Tinto Stadium. The match stream can be viewed at ArizonaUnited.com.
Saturday's match also marks the final game of a three-match series with the Monarchs. Last Saturday, September 5, United fell to Real, 3-2. Arizona got goals from defender Tyler Ruthven and forward Long Tan.
"We have to get better in every aspect," said head coach Dellorusso. "There's a lot to improve on and it's what we've been focusing on it this week. Hopefully we will get better in every part of the game."
United currently sits at 9th place in the Western conference on 31 points. The club is led in scoring by Tan, whose goal against the Monarchs last week, was his 14th of the season.
"(Tan) taken his chances well," said head coach Dellorusso. "He sores big time goals for us, and he is a handful. Every opposition we play will be worried about him."
Real enter Saturday's match in 12th place in the Western conference on 26 points. But they are carrying a four-match win streak, dating back to August 26. The season series between the teams is currently 1-1-0, with both clubs earning a win on the road.
