Arizona Sundogs News Release


Arizona (29-17-5) heads into the week tied for first place in the Southwest Division with the Odessa Jackalopes.

Sundogs Storylines:

- Alex Leavitt ranks second in scoring in the CHL with 85 points (28g/57a) in 45 games, three points back of leader Jeff Bes (Laredo). He currently owns a four-game point streak, collecting seven points (2g/5a) in that time. He has failed to tally a point in just six games this season.

- Mark Kolanos ranks second in scoring among rookies in the CHL with 52 points (26g/26a), six points back of leader David Nimmo (Amarillo).

- Veteran defenseman Chris Bartolone ranks fourth in scoring among defenseman in the CHL with 45 points (13g/32a), five points back of leader Vladimir Hartinger (New Mexico). He currently owns a five-game point streak, tallying 10 points (4g/6a) in that span.

- The Sundogs powerplay ranks first in the CHL at 25.08%. It's 81 powerplay goals also rank tops in the league.

- Arizona still owns the league's most potent offense, averaging 4.31 goals for per game. It's 220 goals for are the most in the CHL.
