Arizona Sting Announce 2008 Regular Season Schedule

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting General Manager and Head Coach Bob Hamley today announced the team's 2008 regular season National Lacrosse League schedule.
All NLL teams will play a 16-game schedule, including eight home games and eight road games. The Sting will begin its defense of the 2007 West Division title by hosting the Calgary Roughnecks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4 at Jobing.com Arena in the season opener. Arizona will face only two Eastern Conference opponents this season, beginning with a rematch of last year's Champion's Cup final when they travel to Rochester on Saturday, Jan. 26 to take on the Knighthawks.
West Division rival Colorado will make two appearances in the desert this season as they visit Jobing.com Arena on Friday, Feb. 29 and Saturday, Mar. 29. The Sting will also play a home-and-home series with the San Jose Stealth on Friday, Apr. 11 and Saturday, Apr. 12 before closing the regular season with a game against Minnesota on Saturday, Apr. 19. The NLL All-Star game will take place on Sunday, Mar. 16 in Edmonton.
