Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Sidewinders dance team proudly announced their 16-member squad for the 2020 season. The Sidewinders are welcoming six members from last year's team.
"We were blown away by the amount of talent at auditions this year," said the Assistant Director, Shelby Regier. "These dancers are going to have such a great season on game day and out in the community."
The six returning dancers are Abby, Alexa, Annie, Emily S., Izzy and Paige. The ten new performers are Alley, Amanda, Ashley, Carly M., Carly S, Courtny, Emily B, Maggie, Morgan, and Vicki.
The audition process included one full day of dancing with three different rounds, a professional interview, and two final rehearsals consistent with what the Sidewinders do weekly.
"I would have to say that the 2020 Sidewinders will be called the dream team," said Sidewinders Director, Oscar Hernandez. "Shelby and I really wanted to look for trained dancers going into the new decade. Not just a dancer but an all-around performer this season that would be a triple threat. This year's Sidewinders are beautiful, talented and great performers. Rattlers fans, I can't wait for you to see the 2020 Sidewinders."
While the Sidewinders are known for the entertaining programming that they provide the fans during Arizona Rattlers games, they also consistently give back to the community and attend charity events throughout the year.
"This group is not only talented but so professional, we are very excited for the opportunity to work with them and have them represent the Rattlers organization this season," stated Regier.
