Arizona Rattlers News Release

Phoenix. Ariz - Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers (11-2) will be looking to keep their eight game winning streak alive when they host the Las Vegas Outlaws (5-8) this Saturday, July 11th at 6:00 PM.

The Arizona Rattlers clinched the West Division title for the fifth straight season with a 49-43 victory over the Los Angeles KISS (2-11). The Rattlers silenced the KISS with constant pressure and explosiveness throughout the game on both sides of the ball.

Quarterback Nick Davila has continued to look incredible since his return from injury with 282 passing yards, 5 touchdown passes, and no interceptions. Wide receiver AJ Cruz earned yet another J. Lewis Small Playmaker of the game award getting the job done in all areas of the game with a touchdown reception and a kickoff return touchdown. The Arizona defense continued to be dominant as they put constant pressure on the Los Angeles KISS quarterback Danny Southwick, keeping him uncomfortable throughout the entire game. Defensive back Jeremy Kellem caught his 12th interception of the season off of Southwick in the second quarter before a hit from defensive tackle Anttaj Hawthorne knocked Southwick out of the game in the third quarter.

The Las Vegas Outlaws are coming off a last-second win against the Portland Thunder (3-10), 48-46. Outlaws quarterback Dennis Havrilla ran for a touchdown as time expired to catapult the Outlaws over the Thunder. It was Havrilla's first start of the season and he recorded 214 passing yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Defensive back Demarcus Robinson led the Las Vegas Outlaws defense with 8 tackles in the game.

Arizona has already played Las Vegas twice this season and so far the series is split at one a piece. The 2015 West Division champions will look to pull away from the Outlaws and continue to build momentum towards the playoffs this Saturday in the Snake Pit.

The game will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona Plus and streamed online at ESPN3.com or the WatchESPN app on a tablet or smartphone.
