July 7, 2015 - Arena Football League (AFL)
New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS - This week's edition of the "Witching Hour" will air tonight on Fox Sports 1280 AM live from Fiorella's Cafe in the heart of the French Quarter. The hour long show will start at 6:00 p.m., and can be heart online at foxsportsam1280.com or on mobile devices via the iHeartRadio app.
"Voice of the VooDoo" Ken Trahan hosts this week and will open the show with Offensive and Defensive Line Coach Ryan Lingenfelder. "Coach L" will discuss the improvements along the offensive line this season, as well as the various "coaching" roles he's done for football scenes both on the big and small screens. Most recently Lingenfelder has worked with the HBO production "Ballers" and can be seen making cameos in a few of the early episodes this season.
This week's player guest is second-year offensive guard Richard Muldrow. Muldrow has played in every game this season, and is in line to make his sixth start of the season on Friday night at San Jose. Over the past two seasons Muldrow has started 12 games in New Orleans, following a two-year stint at Rutgers where he started 22 straight games along the Scarlet Knight offensive line. A versatile lineman, Muldrow can play any position along the line in both outdoor and indoor football.
The "Witching Hour" will also take a look around the league in segment three with ArenaFan.com's Adam Markowitz. An Orlando resident, Markowitz has helped run the fan-based website for over a decade. He can be found on twitter @AFLGuru.
Closing the show will be our weekly expert on the opposition, former San Jose Sharks star Steve Papin. Once billed as "the most electrifying man in Arena Football" Papin played for the Sharks from 1997-2001 and finished his seven year Arena Football Career with 15,413 all-purpose yards, 152 touchdowns and averaged an incredible 14.7 yards per touch as an offensive specialist.
Following a stellar career on the field, Papin moved into the broadcast booth and now can be found as the color analyst on San Jose Sharks broadcasts online, and on the radio. Excelling in the booth as well as on the field Papin joined the CBS Sports "AFL Game of the Week" broadcast crew as a sideline analyst this season.
Fan participation is encouraged, and fans are invited to either attend, or call into the show to interact with VooDoo players, coaches, and legends from the team's past.
