Aric LeClair decides to pitch with Pride

(Nashua, NH, July 24, 2006) Nashua Pride officials announced today that Aric LeClair has been signed to pitch for the club. Nashua released OF Elliott Shea.

LeClair was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2000 amateur draft. The lefthanded reliever pitched in 37 games going 3-1 with a 3.42 ERA with the South Bend single A affiliate of Arizona in the 2001 season. In 2004, the Swanzey resident pitched in 38 innings with a 4-2 record and 4.50 ERA for the El Paso AA Affiliate of the Diamondbacks.

Shea hit .191 in 19 games with the Pride with nine hits for the squad this season.

The Nashua Pride, entering their first year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, play their home games at Historic Holman Stadium. Prior to joining the Can-Am League, the Pride played for eight seasons in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, winning the 2000 Atlantic League championship.
