
Argos Re-Sign International DB Eddie Whitley

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the club has re-signed international defensive back Eddie Whitley.
Whitley, a 6-0, 187-pound native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, recently spent the latter half of the 2015 CFL season on the Argonauts' practice roster after being signed by the team on October 8. Prior to arriving in Toronto, he previously spent time with the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and the United Football League's Sacramento Mountain Lions.
The product of Virgina Tech played a total of 54 games over four seasons, registering 189 defensive tackles (104 solo, 85 assisted) four interceptions, three forced fumbles and 16 pass breakups with the Hokies. He was also named a second-team All-ACC selection after setting career-highs in tackles (83) and interceptions (2) as a senior in 2011.
