Toronto Argonauts News Release
Mississauga - Showing its commitment to the quarterback position, the Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce that it has extended newly-acquired QB Kerry Joseph, the 2007 CFL Most Outstanding Player and Grey Cup champion, through the 2009 season.
Remarked Kerry Joseph, "I am excited about this extension and thankful to the Argonauts organization which has gone above and beyond to get this deal done at a fast pace. Both the Argonauts and the City of Toronto have welcomed me with open arms and I'm looking forward to going out and playing for this organization which has done so much for me. I am so happy to be an Argonaut."
Adam Rita, Argos' VP, Football Operations/General Manager, commented, "This has been one of my better experiences negotiating a contract. Kerry wanted to be here and we wanted him here. We plan on having him be a part of the Argos for awhile. This cements the best 1-2 combination at the quarterback position in the league."
Toronto Argonauts' Head Coach Rich Stubler added, "I am ecstatic that we are able to extend the MOP of the Canadian Football League for another year. Kerry brings a great passion and an everyday work ethic to our football team. We are very happy that he has decided to extend with us through 2009."
