Argos Add Former East All-Star DB Mincy to Practice Roster

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts announced today the club has signed American DB Jonathon Mincy to the practice roster.
Mincy, 27, most recently spent time with the Chicago Bears after being signed by the team in January of 2018 and playing on their practice roster. The 5'10, 196-pound DB played through the 2019 pre-season with the Bears recording 13 total tackles and one pass deflection in four games before being part of Chicago's final cuts. The Decatur, Georgia native played two years with the Montreal Alouettes (2016-2017) tallying 108 defensive tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles in 32 career games while being named an East Division All-Star in 2017. Mincy played with the Atlanta Falcons during the 2015 preseason adding four total tackles in three games played.
The former Auburn Tiger spent five seasons at the SEC school winning the National Championship has a redshirt freshman and going on to record 211 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions and 27 pass deflections.
