July 21, 2009 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Everett AquaSox News Release
EVERETT, Wash.- After five games in Spokane, the Everett AquaSox return home to continue their playoff push with five games against the Tri-City Dust Devils. The five game set is packed with giveaways, fireworks and fun for everyone.
The homestand kicks off on Thursday, July 23 with 99¢ Hot Dog Night presented by 99.9 KISW. All fans are encouraged to enjoy the discounted hot dogs all night long - or until they can't eat anymore.
Friday, July 24 will feature a special giveaway, as the first 1,000 fans will receive a Ken Griffey Jr. Commemorative Plaque presented by Chicago Title. The rare giveaway is a replica of the plaque that is placed where Ken Griffey Jr.'s first professional home run came to rest on June 17, 1987. Griffey was a member of the Bellingham Mariners at the time.
The original plaque sits on the sidewalk beyond the left-field fence of Everett Memorial Stadium. Following the game, the sky will be lit up by a spectacular fireworks show presented by Comcast.
The fun continues on Saturday, July 25 as Rally the Mascot will make a special appearance. Saturday will also feature an AquaSox Stainless Steel Coffee Mug Giveaway to the first 1,000 fans presented by Comcast.
Sunday, July 26 will be a crazy day as mascots will invade Everett Memorial Stadium for Mascot Mania presented by Haggen Food and Pharmacy. There will also be a Hat Voucher Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans presented by Team Saturn NW.
The homestand will come to an end on Monday, July 27 with Kids' Day and a special 11:05 a.m. start time. All fans can enjoy some early afternoon baseball before the AquaSox hit the road again.
The fun will continue when the Frogs come back home on August 3 for eight games of action-packed baseball!
