
AquaSox are First Half Champions

BOISE, Idaho - The Everett AquaSox are going to the playoffs! The Frogs will head to the postseason for the sixth time since 2010 thanks to a 5-1 win over the Boise Hawks. The Northwest League playoffs will begin on Wednesday, September 5. The AquaSox joined the Hillsboro Hops as the second of four teams to qualify for the 2018 postseason.
Four AquaSox pitchers held Boise to just one run and scattered seven hits. Noah Zavolas (2-2) earned the win in relief with three scoreless innings allowing two hits and one walk while striking out three.
Josh Stowers sparked the AquaSox offense batting 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Ryan Ramiz singled, doubled and scored twice. Ryan Garcia and Connor Hoover had three hits apiece.
Ryne Ogren was 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI for Everett.
