Anselmini Recalled to Utica

Kalamazoo, MI. - Defenseman Brandon Anselmini has been recalled to the Utica Comets the K-Wings announced on Wednesday morning.

Anselmini earns his first call-up of the season after recording seven points, all assists, in sixteen games with the K-Wings this season. The defenseman appeared in 36 games split between the Indy Fuel and Rockford IceHogs recording 17 points, all with Indy. Anselmini has skated in 17 AHL games with Rockford and Texas since turning pro at the end of the 2015-16 season. He is the third player to be recalled to Utica this season, joining Reid Gardiner and Jagger Dirk.

In corresponding moves Kalamazoo released forward Tommy Mele and activated forward Tanner Sorenson from reserve.
