
Americans Drop Close Game in Tulsa

Tulsa, OK - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, dropped a 3-2 game to the Tulsa Oilers on Tuesday night at the BOK Center in Oklahoma.
The Americans battled back twice to tie the score on Tuesday night, but the Oilers go-ahead goal late in the second period would hold up in a 3-2 victory over the Americans, extending their losing streak to four games.
Adam Miller scored a goal and added an assist to earn the number three star of the game. Former Oilers forward Alex Ranger deflected a Joel Chouinard shot past Evan Fitzpatrick for his second goal of the season.
Rookie goaltender Kyle Hayton made his Allen debut on Tuesday night stopping 33 of 36 shots taking the loss. The Americans were 0 for 3 on the power play while Tulsa was 1 for 4. The Oilers outshot the Americans 36 to 25.
