
Another Columbus Lion Gets League Honors

COLUMBUS, GA (April 7, 2015) - For his play in the Lions 70-60 win over Trenton, The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) announced on Tuesday that QB Casey Kacz is the PIFL Week 3 Offensive Player of the Week.
Filling in for injured starter, back-up QB Casey Kacz (6'2 205, Buffalo St.) earned his first professional indoor start over the weekend leading the Lions to a 70-60 road win over Trenton leaving them as the only remaining unbeaten team in the PIFL.
In addition to tying a franchise single-game high 8 passing touchdowns with current AFL QB Randy Hippeard, Kacz completed 25 of 40 passes setting the Lions all-time mark for most passing yards in a single game with 350.
Lions WR Terrance Ebagua was placed as honorable mention for the week leading all receivers for the week by nabbing 12 receptions for 196 yards with four trips to the end-zone.
For the first time since 2011, Columbus begins the season 2-0 and will look to carry-on that momentum upcoming Saturday when they stay on the road to face Richmond. The Lions have never begun the season 3-0 and also have gone 0-3 all-time in the Richmond Coliseum with their last visit coming in 2013.
Columbus will return home on April 18th when they host they PIFL defending champion Venom in the first rematch since that nail biting 2014 Conference Championship playoff game where Nashville narrowly escaped with the 44-39 win en route the PIFL Championship.
