NASHVILLE- After struggling in a Week 2 lost to the Alabama Hammers, Nashville Venom kicker Christian Reed had a solid effort for his team in Week 3 scoring 12 points in the Venom's 55-28 victory over the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. Reed converted four of six of his extra points, kicked four Unos and was one of two in field goals. Reed also threw a two point conversion pass to B.J. Taylor. The always modest Reed was complementary to every player on special teams including long snapper Dedrick ‚¬ËœTuck' Tucker and holder Jordan Jolly.

"Everybody was meshing together this week better than last week," said Reed. "We had a new snapper in ‚¬ËœTuck' and he did a great job. The whole line blocked well and didn't let anyone through. Jolly was great holding as he always is. We had one shaky one that turned into a two point conversation. I can't complain though, it was a first pass I have ever thrown."

The award was the second for Reed in his time with the Venom. Last season he earned the same honor in Week 11. Venom QB Charles McCullum and DB/LB Will Johnson were named honorable mention Player of the Week on offense and defense respectively.

This week, The Venom will travel down I65 to Huntsville, Alabama to take on the Alabama Hammers this Saturday at 7 p.m.
