Announcing 2nd Annual Military Appreciation Night This Saturday

CARY, N.C. (Wednesday, August 4, 2010) - The Carolina RailHawks announced today that the match against the Montreal Impact on Saturday August 7 will be the 2nd Annual Military Appreciation Night. The match is set to kick off at 7 p.m. and all active, reserve and retired military will receive free admission to the match by presenting their military ID at the LGFCU Box Office. Their families will receive discounted tickets of $5, $10 and $15 (a savings of $7 off game day ticket price). Tickets may be purchased at the LGFCU Box Office by calling 919-859-5425 or by visiting www.carolinarailhawks.com/military.

Fans are encouraged to come out and support our troops and learn more about the USO and the Department of Veterans Affairs as both organizations will be in attendance with their mobile units. In addition representatives from the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base will perform the presentation of colors ceremony and Hy Marks, a veteran of World War II, will perform the United States National Anthem. Mr. Marks was a crowd favorite at last year's Military Appreciation Night.

On July 22nd Swoops and Sean O' Connor spent the day at Fort Bragg to promote the event. While there, Sean and Swoops interacted with numerous children who were participating in soccer clinics at the base, and were able to learn more about life on the base.
