Angels Top Pitching Prospect Returns from DL

San Bernardino, CA - After a season and a half wait he Inland Empire 66ers will finally get to see Angels' pitching prospect Fabio Martinez on the mound tonight. Baseball America's #13 Angels' Prospect is a member of the Halos' 40-man roster, but saw shoulder and foot injuries sideline him since 2010.

Fabio Miguel Martinez Mesa flew up the Angels prospect charts after arriving in the states in 2009. That year he led the Arizona Summer League in strikeouts and the following season he was a Midwest League All-Star with the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The right handed starter has a blazing fastball that sits in the mid-90's and has been rumored to go as high as 101 miles per hour. He will be making his California League debut.
