SALT LAKE CITY - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Bobby Cassevah and optioned infielder Robb Quinlan to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Cassevah, 24, made his Triple-A debut last night at Las Vegas where he tossed one inning of scoreless relief in the Bees season opening loss to the 51s. In 2009, the Jacksonville, Fla. native owned a 3-7 record with a 3.68 ERA in 57 games of relief for the Double-A Arkansas Travelers. His first appearance with the Angels will be his major league debut.

Quinlan, 33, has appeared in one game with the Angels this season, pinch-hitting for Erick Aybar last night against the Minnesota Twins. In 54 games for the Angels in 2009, he hit .243 with five doubles, two homeruns and 14 RBI. The St. Paul, Minn. native spent parts of four seasons with Triple-A Salt Lake from 2002-2005, posting a .324 average with 64 doubles, 32 homeruns and 201 RBI in 273 games.

The Salt Lake Bees continue the 2010 season opening series tonight at Las Vegas and return home for an eight-game homestand on April 16 against the Tacoma Rainiers at 6:35 p.m. at Spring Mobile Ballpark. A fireworks show will follow the home opener. For more information about Bees season tickets, which start as low as $7 per game, please call (801) 325-BEES.
