The Nashville Sounds out-homered Iowa en route to a 5-2 victory over the Cubs Friday night at Principal Park.

Angel Salome gave Nashville a 1-0 lead with a solo homer in the second inning.

The Cubs answered back when Micah Hoffpauir tied the game 1-1 in the fourth inning with his first home run of the season and his 100th homer in the minor leagues. However, the Cubs couldn't match the Sounds' three longballs. Luis Cruz hit a two-run shot in the fifth and Joe Koshansky launched a homer in the eighth to score Brendan Katin for the 5-2 final.

Iowa's other run came on Jason Dubois' solo homer in the sixth. Dubois also reached in the fourth on a single. Bryan LaHair was 2-for-3 for Iowa.
