Angels Lackey to Start for Quakes on May 4th

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Right-handed pitcher John Lackey is scheduled to be the starting pitcher for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes when they face off with the Lancaster JetHawks on Sunday, May 4th at 2:05 PM. Lackey, who was selected in the 2nd round of the 1999 Free Agent Draft, is coming off his best year with the Angels in 2007. He went 19-9 with a league leading 3.01 ERA, and 2 complete game shutouts.

Lackey has made two other starts with the Quakes. He has allowed one earned run in each of those starts. His start on May 4th, is set to be his final appearance with the Quakes during this current rehab stint with the club that began on April 23rd.

The Quakes will open a six-game homestand Friday against the Lancaster JetHawks at 7:05 PM. Rancho will host the JetHawks from Friday-Sunday, have an off day Monday, then start a three-game set with the Inland Empire 66ers.
