(LANCASTER, CA) - The Lancaster JetHawks game scheduled for Wednesday night against Rancho Cucamonga has been postponed due to high winds in the Antelope Valley. With sustained winds of 38 MPH and gusts of over 49 MPH expected to continue well into the evening, conditions were deemed unsafe for baseball. The game will be made up Thursday as part of a double-header beginning at 6:00 PM.
Tickets for Wednesday's game can be used for any other JetHawks game during the regular season, based upon availability. Tickets for Thursday's game will be valid for both games of the double header, with both games seven inning affairs. The second game will begin after a ½-hour break upon the conclusion of the first game.
The double-header will feature "Thousand Dollar Thursday" at Clear Channel Stadium. A lucky fan will have a chance at winning $1,000. Cheers Buck Beers will also be available, as domestic draught beer will be on sale for just $1 through the sixth inning.
