
Angelina Named to Brazil Women's National Team Roster for June Friendlies

TACOMA, WA -Pia Sundhage has named OL Reign midfielder Angelina to the Brazil Women's National Football Team roster for the June FIFA international match window.
This marks the first time Angelina has been called up to Brazil's senior national team. The 21-year-old midfielder has extensive experience with the U17 and U20 Brazilian national team, playing in both the U17 and U20 Women's World Cups in 2016 and 2019. Angelina served as the captain of the Brazil U20 women's national team, a team which has won every South American U20 championship since the tournament was founded in 2004.
Angelina was also named to the IFFHS CONMEBOL Youth Women Team of the Year for 2020.
The No. 7 ranked Brazil Women's National Team plays their first of two matches during the June FIFA international match window on Friday, June 11, at 1:00 p.m. PT against No. 25 ranked Russia at Carthonova Stadium in Cartagena, Spain. The two teams last met in 2016, when Brazil beat Russia 4-0 in an international friendly match.
Brazil will then take on No. 8 ranked Canada on Monday, June 14, at 1:00 p.m. PT at Carthonova Stadium in Cartagena, Spain. The teams met in February of this year during the SheBelieves Cup, where Brazil won 2-0.
