More than 50 players who played in the minor leagues for Andy Seminick will be in Philadelphia for an "Andy Seminick Reunion".
Seminick managed 11 minor league teams in the Phillies minor league system from 1959-1972. A total of 260 players played for him during that period of time. Of that number, 90 made it to the major leagues.
Players from all over the United States and Canada will be meeting at the Sheraton Suites near the Philadelphia Airport on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 1-2-3).
Pat Williams, Senior Vice President of the Orlando Magic, who played in the minor leagues under Seminick at Miami, will be the master of ceremonies for a 12 p.m. luncheon in the hotel conference room on Saturday. The group will attend the Phillies-San Diego doubleheader that evening.
