Prospect-Filled Baseball Card Sets On Sale Now

The 2003 New Haven Ravens team baseball card sets are now available, and figure to be an extremely popular item. The set features many of the top prospects in the Toronto Blue Jays farm system, starting with righthander Dustin McGowan. McGowan was rated the Jays' #1 prospect by Baseball America. Among the other prospects in the set are outfielder Alexis Rios, catcher Guillermo Quiroz, outfielder Gabe Gross, infielder Russ Adams, and more.
Battle for Playoff Spot Continues
The Ravens entered play on Monday just one game out of first place in the Eastern League's Northern Division. The Boston Red Sox affiliate Portland Sea Dogs lead the way with a 56-46 record, while the Ravens are 57-49.. The New York Yankees affiliate Trenton Thunder are in third with a 54-51 record. The top two teams in the division make the playoffs. New Haven will look to solidify its hold on the final playoff spot with a week of home games coming up. The Ravens host Montreal Expos affiliate Harrisburg (46-62) from Monday through Thursday and Detroit Tigers affiliate Erie (50-57) from Friday through Sunday.
Baseball Camps
The New Haven Ravens host two summer baseball camps at historic Yale Field. Each camp provides fundamental instruction in hitting, pitching, infield, outfield, baserunning, and bunting. The first camp, for children 6-9, is on July 28, 29, and 31 from 9:00 am to noon. The second camp, for children 10 and up, is on August 11, 12 and 13 from 9:00 am to noon. Pavilion, Porch Opened to Individuals
The Verizon Wireless Party Pavilion and the Budweiser Short Porch Cafe, normally open only to groups of 30 or more, are now open for individual ticket sales for the remainder of the 2003 season. For one low price, fans get an all-you-can-eat buffet in addition to a great seat for the game. The buffet includes a main course of either hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and ribs ($23 per person) or hot dogs and hamburgers ($18 per person).
