Anchorage Wolverines News Release
WHAT A GAME! The Anchorage Wolverines continue their win streak against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs after a 5-1 win tonight.
The first period was mild on the ice, with no goals and four Anchorage penalties. The fans, though, were a different story. Throughout the entire game, the bleachers were packed and the crowd was roaring.
Bryce Monrean put the first goal on the board in the seventh minute of the second, with the assists coming from Trent Powell and Camden Shasby.
Two minutes later, Blake Markwell found Will Shephard for a slapshot near the blue line, grabbing his first NAHL goal.
Monrean grabbed his second point of the night when he passed to Tai Ushio who found the back of the net giving the Wolverines a 3-0 lead.
Nolan Abraham had Fairbanks' lone goal, tarnishing Beerman's shutout possibilities.
Kade Shea turned around almost immediately after the face off and zipped one in the net, turning the score to 4-1.
Cole Christian finalized the score at 5-1 with six minutes left in the contest.
Beerman saw 29 shots tonight and stopped 28 of them.
We'll be back TOMORROW with another 7pm puck drop against the Ice Dogs. Buy your tickets, arrive early and be prepared to RAGE!
