Anchorage Wolverines News Release

The Anchorage Wolverines are excited to announce its first all-girls youth team, the U16 Jr. Lady Wolverines. The U16 team is providing opportunity to 15 Alaskan hockey players, featuring girls from Anchorage, Homer, Wasilla, Eagle River and Fairbanks.

The opportunities for girls in hockey has been a strenuous battle in Anchorage for years, but the future is bright with many programs boasting all-girls teams today. The Wolverines are thrilled to be a part of the solution to our state's long-term commitment to provide opportunities to every youth hockey player. The Wolverines believe keeping sports accessible and affordable is key to the success of our city.

The Anchorage Wolverines also hope to be announcing where we will be playing the 2022-23 home slate of games soon, as the organization is actively working alongside local rinks on the matter. Season ticket holders will be notified immediately, as we look forward to our seat selection event.
