Anaheim Ducks Sign Right Wing Dan Sexton

Syracuse, NY (July 11, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have signed right wing Dan Sexton to a two-year contract. As per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sexton, 24, appeared in 17 games for the Crunch last season, recording 17 points (9g, 8a) and four penalty minutes. In addition, he skated in 47 games with Anaheim last year, tallying 13 points (4g, 9a) and four penalty minutes. Sexton has appeared in 88 career NHL games since the 2009-10 season, all with the Ducks, registering 32 points (13g, 19a) and 22 penalty minutes.

A native of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Sexton appeared in 76 games in two seasons with Bowling Green (CCHA) from 2007-09, recording 60 points (24g, 36a) and 34 penalty minutes. He was signed by the Ducks as a free agent on April 7, 2009.
