Anaheim Arsenal News Release
Anaheim, Calif., February 19, 2008 - Members of the Anaheim Arsenal, along with team owner Louise Jones, team president Cliff Dochterman and head coach Reggie Geary, visited the children and staff of the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) on Tuesday. The group toured CHOC facilities of the first hospital in Orange County devoted exclusively for the caring of children.
Arsenal players, including Kedrick Brown, Marcus Campbell, Mo Charlo, Terrence Crawford, Guillermo Diaz, Mike Gansey, Yuta Tabuse, and Ejike Ugboaja were on hand to sign autographs and play games with the children of CHOC. Some of the games included Connect Four and the Super Mario Kart video game. Arsenal Forward Kedrick Brown demonstrated some skills in Connect Four, however, Center Marcus Campbell did not fair as well in Super Mario Kart. Campbell's video game playing proved he had better skills driving on the basketball court than in the video game world.
Emily Grankowski, CHOC Interim Manager of Child Life and Special Programs Coordinator, said about the visit, "The visit at CHOC today by the Anaheim Arsenal was amazing! By having the players here really brightened the patients' day. It helps them forget about being in the hospital and the pain that they may be in. The players were great and brought a lot of smiles to the kids' faces. We hope to have them back again soon!"
