Amerks Recall Shawn Szydlowski from Fort Worth

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled forward Shawn Szydlowski from the Fort Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League.

Szydlowski, 22, has appeared in 45 games with Fort Worth this season, recording 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points along with 41 penalty minutes. Last season, he played in 53 games with the Amerks, collecting eight assists and 21 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 207-pound native of St. Clair Shores, Mich., also appeared in six games with the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators, where he tallied one goal and two assists. Szydlowski signed with the Sabres organization as a free agent on April 8, 2011.
