Amerks Moose Has A Weekend Full Of Festivals

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans' mascot, The Moose, will be out and about over the next few days as the Amerks' furry friend has a fun-filled weekend scheduled full with festivals and community celebrations The excitement begins on Saturday, September 12th at the Stepping Stones Children Festival, given by Stepping Stones Learning Center. The Moose will be at the branch location at 41 Colebrook Dr. from noon to 2:00 p.m. to greet families and sign autographs. Fans can test their accuracy at the Knighthawks inflatable, in addition to picking up ticket information for the upcoming 2009-10 American Hockey League season and the 2010 National Lacrosse League season.

Stepping Stones Learning Center (SSLC) is committed to serving children, their families, and the community, through collaborative ventures for the provision of quality programs and services to achieve the highest level of success for all participants.

SSLC strives to be the advocate and leader in the development and implementation of inclusionary services for children of all ages and backgrounds through the design of programs that meet the child's ever changing needs. This is achieved in part by holding of prime importance the matching of values and goals held between the child and their family.

From there, the Moose will head to Camp Eastman from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to attend Rochester's annual Irish Festival to gather some Irish culture, sample some Irish food and participate in other activities. The Moose will return to the Irish Festival on Sunday, September 13th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to wrap up the weekend.
