Amerks Unveil New Jerseys For 2009-10 Season

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans unveiled their new home and away jerseys for the 2009-10 American Hockey League season during an afternoon press conference today at The Blue Cross Arena.

This season, the Amerks' jerseys will again consist of the traditional home white base, with blue and red trim. For away games, after three seasons of wearing red on the road, the Amerks will return to their blue road sweaters, with red and white trim. The blue road jerseys were last worn during the 2005-06 campaign, the last season Chris Taylor was with Rochester. The Amerks also brought back the striped tubing at the bottom of the jerseys that were removed from the jersey design the past two seasons.

Rochester opens its 54th season in the AHL against the Lake Erie Monsters at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, October 3rd at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial.
