Americans Take 3-1 Series Lead into Tonight's Game

Salt Lake City - The Allen Americans own a 3-1 series lead over the Utah Grizzlies in their First Round, best of seven series with Game 5 set for tonight at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.
The Americans had three players with a multi-point game on Friday night, including Co-Captain Chad Costello, who had two assists and is tied with Greger Hanson for the team lead in points this postseason, with five.
"We played our best period of the series last night in the third," said Chad Costello. "We knew being down only a goal we had a great chance to tie the game and keep the pressure on. The power play goals by David Makowski and Eric Roy really gave us a lift and carried us through the final period."
The Americans know they'll see Utah's best effort tonight, and also know that fourth win in a series is always the toughest to get. It will take a solid performance from opening puck drop to the final buzzer to close out Utah.
Greger Hanson is starting to heat up with goals in back to back games, and Riley Gill has put together two consecutive "Goalie of the Year" performances to lead the Allen charge. Bryan Moore will serve the second of his four-game suspension tonight. Gary Steffes, who was scratched from Wednesday night's game, returned to the Allen lineup last evening and assisted on Alex Krushelnyski's empty net goal in the third period.
The team had an optional skate today at the Maverik Center with Game 5 tonight at 8:05 PM CST in Utah.
