Allen, Texas - The ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Allen Americans signed three players who will be a part of the Americans roster heading to camp next week.

Jacob Poe - a 6'3, 210 lb. defenseman from Arlington, Texas, joins the Americans roster after playing three seasons in the North American Hockey League with the Topeka Roadrunners, and four seasons of college hockey at the University of Connecticut. He had 71 points over three seasons of junior hockey with Topeka, finishing with 30 points in 58 games with a plus 23 in 2010-2011 with the Roadrunners.

Michael Colavecchia - a 5'9, 190 lb. forward from Maple, Ontario, is headed to training camp after playing 33 games last season in the ECHL with both Utah and Bakersfield. He played four seasons of college hockey at RIT, where he averaged just less than 30 points a season. His best numbers came in the 2011-2012 season, where he scored 14 goals with 18 helpers, for 32 points in 39 games.

Tyler Stothers - Signs with the Americans after playing five games in the ECHL last season with the Brampton Beast. The Oakville, Ontario, native played four seasons at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada where he was the captain of his team. Stothers led the Golden Hawks in goals his senior year, with 17.

The Americans open training camp next Monday, October 5th at 10:00 am at Allen Event Center Community Rink. All practice sessions are open to the public.
